Ms. Lisa R. Cummins
Ms. Lisa R. Cummins is the Executive Director of the University of the West Indies Consulting Company. Previously, she was the Executive Director for the Barbados Coalition of Services Industries.
An International Trade Specialist by training, she lived and served in the East African region from 2008 until 2011 where she served as Uganda’s lead technical adviser and a member of the negotiating team for services in the East African Community trade talks with Europe and the EAC Common Market. During that time she worked on projects in East and Southern Africa for several development partners including the World Bank, UNCTAD, the European Union and Trade Mark East Africa.
With extensive experience in regional economic integration, trade policy development, private sector development, and trade, Ms. Cummins serves in multiple capacities on a national, regional and international level on services trade issues and private sector development support.
Ms. Cummins, a former career diplomat for ten years served at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and in the Barbados Embassy at Washington DC (2001- 2004).
Ms. Cummins sits on several Boards locally and regionally including two Private Sector Boards and the Shridath Ramphal Center for Trade Law and Policy and is the President of the Rotary Club of Barbados.
